Lugar Boswell Thistle Football Festival

The rain heavy clouds dispersed and the sun shone down on the assembled crowd at Rosebank for the inaugural Lugar Boswell Thistle 2001 Football Festival. Ten teams took part in the tournament and they served up a veritable feast for the watching fans. |

As well as the footie there was plenty of other attractions, Kirsty's Kritters, bouncy castle, face painting, hook the duck, book stalls, beat the goalie, cafe, disco etc. But the main event was the football, each team played 4 games lasting 15 minutes each time.

The players put their heart and soul into their games and they all deserved their medals.
The watching fans enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment in the sun. So winners all round. |
